While most recognized for its administration of the Integrity Helpline, Business Integrity and Compliance (BI&C) serves an enterprise-wide function that goes beyond its role as a resource for reporting suspected unethical or illegal activity.

BI&C plays a key role in the day-to-day oversight of the company's enterprise-wide Compliance and Ethics Program. Compliance with internal controls such as maintaining a corporate policy framework, securing annual officer and director code of ethics certifications, and engaging high level personnel on compliance and ethics (C&E) issues fall within BI&C's responsibilities for supporting an effective program in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Guidance titled "Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs."
